Unusual Peruvian Lily

This unusual flower (LOL) was concocted after I made a slight mistake in the focus stacking software, Helicon Focus. It didn’t happen with this photo, but it gave me an idea. I took the original photo of the lily and made a copy. I then opened up the copied version into PaintShop Pro X7 and flipped it horizontally.

Back in Helicon Focus I selected the original lily and the copied, flipped version of the lily and clicked on the render button. This is what I got! I then transferred it to my iPad mini to play around with it as I was tired of sitting in front of a computer.

I started by opening the latest version of Snapseed that just got downloaded today, Version 2.0.4 (which now has a healing tool!). I started with Tune Image with the following settings:

  • Brightness: 45
  • Ambiance: 40
  • Contrast: 15
  • Saturation: 10
  • Shadows: -20
  • Highlights: 15
  • Warmth: 5

I didn’t want the whole photo affected so I tapped on the stack box, tapped on Tune Image then tapped on the middle icon. I then proceeded to paint the area I wanted affected.

I then used Drama with the following settings:

  • Filter Strength: 80
  • Saturation: 0

That was it!

I was now ready to add my logo/watermark, metadata and StegoMark in iWatermark +.

To get the image ready to post on Instagram I used Insta Full Size and selected the black borders.

The final step was creating the Before and After photo in Leonardo.
